Lisa from Santamaria Design has been a delight to work with from the very first day. We have been working together to design my Vaucluse house for the past 3 years and Lisa has managed to create something really special. Her eye for detail and design are brilliant and we worked really well together.


Lisa selected all the materials and finishes throughout from start to finish and she designed all the joinery including kitchens, bathrooms and robes. Building is definitely my forte, but not design so it was good to be able to trust someone with those details.

We employed Lisa from Santamaria Design for the design and specification of the kitchen and butlers pantry, all bathrooms/ensuites, laundries and study. Lisa also put together the interior schemes for our bedrooms as well as sourcing and recommendations for all of our window coverings. I especially love our linen s-fold curtains.


We have just finished the scheme for our sunken lounge area and it’s beautiful.

This was my first time using an interior designer and I wasn’t sure what to expect.  Lisa from Santamaria Design understood my brief and helped me create a simple and sophisticated kitchen, bathroom and laundry designs.  Her suggested finishes selections were beautiful.  I really love my bathroom tiles and the clever tile design.


My kitchen is also stunning.  Lisa recommended removing a wall which I wouldn’t have thought of and it has really opened up the space.  It is so light and airy now and the fresh colours are fabulous.

We used Lisa from Santamaria Design for our new duplex and she helped us build our beautiful new homes. Lisa is very knowledgeable about new trends and products that have just entered the market. She has a good eye for detail and worked hard in getting us exactly what we wanted. She is a professional that doesn’t let personality get in the way of getting a job done and takes the initiative with a job suggesting things we haven’t thought of and providing practical advice regarding our choices.


She suggested we knock down a couple of walls and extend the kitchen and the result was a beautiful, big and practical kitchen that has become the feature of the house. She also found a completely different type of stone for the external of our house and it has really added the wow factor. 3 years later we still see people walking past and pointing at the stone and commenting about how different and special it looks. Lisa is now working on our next duplex and I’m trying to figure out how I can get her to help me with a house we are building overseas!

This is the second time we have engaged Lisa to work with us – this time the task was to complete our dining room. This room required a lot of work and was essentially a blank canvas. Lisa was able to work with us to design a brilliant layout including a buffet and bar plus seamless cabinetry incorporating our wine fridge. Her professional manner and vast experience with wholesalers and cabinetmakers delivered a vision that was a complete design and was immediately agreed and accepted.

We then tasked Lisa with dressing the room including table and chairs, pictures, rug and vases. Again this was made easy by her ability to provide not just unique catalogues but samples sourced from those providers which when placed alongside each other made our task so much easier (not to mention the filtering that was provided to help limit our options but not lose our joint vision).

The room is beautiful and more than met our expectations. Our budget was set at $20,000 – Lisa through her vast network of vendors was able to come in under budget. The deadlines we agreed were always met and her ability to constantly engage and brief us was exceptional. I would thoroughly recommend Lisa to anybody who is considering furnishing the interior of their house.

After a considerable amount of research I engaged Santamaria Design to work on my 1913 home, which had recently been given an contemporary extension. The brief was to give the home a cutting edge lift with a modern decorating style, keeping in mind the period of the home. It included updating bathrooms whilst keeping some of the existing materials, which required a lot of thought and skill to achieve. I requested also that I be involved in this project and that I would like us to work together. Lisa began this job approximately 12 months ago, with a great deal of enthusiasm and above all professionalism. Starting off with many quotes and meetings, we began!
